ASD spent a week visiting Solome Mukisa and Matilda Nabukonde, African Women and Water Conference participants, working with Uganda Community Based Association for Child Welfare. These amazing women are initiating programs through their organization to address the needs of Uganda's children, addressing issues ranging from property rights for women to HIV/AIDS.
ASD travelled to Uganda in January to follow up with Namulondo Sarah Asumini and the organizationn she has established, Mukono Women's AIDS Task Force.
Sulu Province in ARMM is one of the most volatile regions in the ARMM Provinces. Frequent violent conflict erupts which makes it difficult to launch and maintain projects.
